Meet Our Club Basketball Coaches​

Head Coach - 11th Grade

Garrett Beagle

Garrett Beagle was born and raised here in Jacksonville and graduated from Bishop Kenny High School in 2020. He then furthered his basketball career at Piedmont University for three years before returning home. He is currently still in school as well as coaching at Atlantic Coast High School for both JV and Varsity.

 

Garrett has been training with HoopGrind as a student of the game under Coach Ryan since 2018. He takes pride in having a purpose for everything he does and hopes to give back the knowledge that has been poured into him.

He was always known for being a high-energy guy and plans on keeping that with the athletes he works with. After just recently finishing his career as a student-athlete, he is ready to continue his basketball career as a coach and stay on the HoopGrind!

Head Coach - 10th Grade

James Warwick

Coach James Warrick III, a Jacksonville native who brings a passion for the game and years of experience to the basketball court. Graduated from Raines high school, played collegiate ball at Trinity Baptist College, and overseas in Girona, Spain. Coach James transitioned into coaching after recognizing a deep desire to mentor young athletes and shape their growth both on and off the court. Coach James emphasizes fundamentals, hard work, and mental toughness, while also promoting academic achievement and character development.

With over 12 years of dedicated coaching experience, LaQuincy Edwards is a dynamic and charismatic coach committed to empowering athletes to build confidence and secure placement on organized sports teams. His passion lies in helping individuals unlock their full athletic potential while developing the mental resilience needed to excel both in sports and in life.

 

Known for his results-driven and high-energy training style, LaQuincy specializes in HIIT (high-intensity interval training), circuit training (endurance building) and acceleration training. By blending evidence-based performance strategies with personalized mentorship, he creates structured yet motivating programs that push athletes beyond perceived limits.

 

Throughout his career, LaQuincy has successfully guided many athletes toward improved performance, increased confidence, and competitive team placement. His approach is both challenging and supportive, fostering discipline, mental toughness, and self-belief in every client he serves.

LaQuincy Edwards is dedicated to transformative change, equipping athletes not only with physical strength and speed, but with the mindset necessary to thrive in competitive environments and in life.

Head Coach - 7th Grade

Aaron Daniels

Aaron Daniels is a 24-year-old basketball player from St. Louis, Missouri, with a deep love for the game and a growing passion for coaching. He played college basketball at both the College of Coastal Georgia and Lauren B. Wallace Junior College, where he honed his skills and developed a strong understanding of the game.

Beyond his playing career, Aaron is dedicated to sharing his knowledge and experience with others, driven by a heart for coaching. He aims to inspire and mentor the next generation of athletes, using his leadership and expertise to help them reach their full potential, both on and off the court.

Head Coach - 6th Grade

Cam Hunter

Coach Cam is a 29-year-old Air Force veteran, Jacksonville native, bringing intensity, discipline, and passion to the game of basketball. With six years of coaching/skill development experience and a competitive background playing at Muskegon Community College and Air Force basketball in Guam, he understands what it takes to compete — and win — at a high level.

 

As the Varsity Basketball Coach at Eagle View Academy and a dedicated volunteer with YMCA Youth Basketball, Coach Cam is committed to developing complete athletes. He focuses on building confidence, leadership, character, and grit both on and off the court. His mission is simple: demand excellence, build strong teams, and push every player to become the best version of themselves.

Head Coach - 4th & 5th Grade

Joe Jones

Coach Joe is originally from Detroit, MI and has 13 years of coaching experience in the Jacksonville area. He is currently serving as the Head JV Basketball for a successful program but also has extensive experience as an AAU coach. In the three years prior to moving up to JV, he led the middle school to three consecutive JCAL Championships.

 

A hard nose and passionate leader, he is looking forward to instilling fundamentals and love for the game into the younger generation. Training with Coach Joe will be heavily focused on skills that translate directly to the game. He takes pride in being able to communicate effectively with children of all ages and will leave each player better than he found them.
